Jami (Dyszkewicz) Brasker, 53, of Williamsport, IN, formerly of Westville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7:45am CST in Urbana, IL. She was born on January 7, 1958, in Danville, the daughter of Lody and Betty (Stanley) Dyszkewicz. On November 10, 2001, Jami married Merrille Brasker in Williamsport, IN. He survives along with her father, Lody, and her two children, Adam (Beth) Blazaitis of Danville, and Nicole (Chad) McMahan of Covington, IN. Her step-son; Curtis (Jamie) Brasker of Covington, step-daughter; Christie (John) Murphy of Janesville, WI., seven grandchildren, Allison and Kelsey Murphy, Carli and Alexander McMahan, Kaylee and Emma Brasker, Robert Rabby Bear Blazaitis, one nephew; Christopher Dyszkewicz, two nieces; Kory Dyszkewicz Candice King, and two brothers; Steven (Susan) Dyszkewicz of California, and Scott Dyszkewicz of Champaign also survive her. Jami is preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and an infant brother. She was a licensed horse trainer and groomer in the Williamsport, IN area, and a member of the United States Trotting Association. She enjoyed all aspect of the outdoors, and especially being with her horses and her two dogs; Smoky and Susie. She loved going to auctions, and had a special place in her heart for each of her grandchildren. She was a people person that never met a stranger, and will be missed by all that knew her. A celebration of Jami Braskers Life will begin at 11:00am EST on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Sunsets Covington Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, located at 420 3rd Street, Covington, IN. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm EST on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Per Jami and her familys wishes, she will be cremated following her service, under the direct supervision of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. In lieu of flowers, Jamis family has asked that all donations be made in care of Sunset Funeral home to off-set the funeral expense.
