James T. Johnston

Danville, Ill. - James (Jimmy) T. Johnston, 68, a resident of Danville Care Center and formerly of Westville passed away at 3 a.m. CST Friday, January 31, 2020 at Danville Care Center.

He was born December 20, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late James A. and Jean A. (Griffis) Johnston.

Survivors include one sister: Carolyn (Dave) Wheatfield of Kingman, Indiana; two brothers: Dennis Wayne (Sandy) Johnston of Moline, Illinois and Gene (Cindy) Johnston of Cayuga, Indiana, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister: Lori Miller.

Jimmy enjoyed whittling, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Brian Bartlett; Burial will be held at a later date at McKendree Cemetery in rural Georgetown, Illinois; Visitation: Noon EST Tuesday, February 4, 2020 until time of services at the funeral home.
