James Ryan Flak

Newport, Ind. - James Ryan Flak, 16, of Newport passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 26, 2018 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana.

He was born September 21, 2002 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of Anthony and Melissa (Ingram) Flak.

Survivors include his parents of Newport, Indiana; two sisters: Colleen Flak of Cayuga, Indiana and Lacy Flak of Newport, Indiana; three brothers: Elijah Flak of Whiteright, Texas; Justin and Levi Flak both of Newport, Indiana; maternal grandmother: Elaine Ingram of Cayuga, Indiana; paternal grandmother: Jean Flak of Terre Haute, Indiana; niece: Hayden Flak of Cayuga, Indiana; nephew: Gavin Crone of Cayuga, Indiana, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Tom Ingram and paternal grandfather: John A. Flak.

James was a Freshman at North Vermillion High School. He attended the Cayuga Christian Church. James enjoyed collecting drinking straws, loved all music and enjoyed watching YouTube.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Cayuga Christian Church; Officiating: Paul Sargent; Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. EST Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Cayuga Christian Church. Cremation following services with inurnment of cremains to be held at a later date at Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
