James R. 'Jimmy' Summers

James R. Jimmy Summers, 33, of Lincoln, IL died at 6:45 p.m. Monday August 3, 2009 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on September 4, 1975 in Lincoln, IL the son of James R. and Doris J. Turner Summers. Survivors include: his son, Austin Michael Dalton Mollet of Lincoln; his mother and stepfather, Doris and Orval Erp of Indianola; his three brothers, Ronald Heath Summers of Lincoln, Terrence TJ Summers of Lincoln, and Jarrod T. Summers of Danville; his uncle, Bill Summers of Jacksonville, IL; his aunts, Judy Mosley and Lanice (Bill) Green of Georgetown, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two best friends, Dustin Heinzel and Randy Grigg, both of Lincoln; as well as, a host of many other friends. He was preceded in death by: his father; uncle, Paul Turner; and his grandparents, Lamon and Irene Turner, Olive Mae Rhinerson, and James H. Summers. Jimmy enjoyed being with his friends and riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed Illinois basketball, Cardinals baseball, & Bears football, as well as, watching his favorite driver, Dale Jr., racing in NASCAR. There will be a Memorial Service at 2pm, Saturday, August 8th, 2009, with a gathering following the service until 4:00pm at the Indianola Town Hall. Paul Kent will officiate. There will also be a Memorial Service to be held in Lincoln, IL, at 6-8pm, September 4th, 2009, at the American Legion Post #263. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
