Danville James Donald Patterson, 30, of Danville passed away on November 3, 2020 in Oakwood, IL.

James was born on August 11, 1990 in Danville, IL the son of Donald and Terry (James) Patterson.

James is survived by his parents, Donald and Terry Patterson of Lafayette, IN, one son, Ivan James Patterson of Danville, ILone daughter, Lilyana Patterson of Danville, IL, two brothers, Jared Robert (Jessie) Patterson of Smithfield, UT and Clayton (Jessica Bennetti) Patterson of Danville, IL, two sisters, Crystal (Tim Pittman) Burson of Danville, IL and Shannon Shaffrey of St. Louis, MO as well as his maternal grandmother, Nora Kinney of Decatur, IL.

James is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Glenn James and his paternal grandparents, Donald and Helen Patterson.

James was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boys Scouts of America. He enjoyed spending his free time camping, hunting, fishing, boating and loved to be around and helping with kids.

A Public Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL, 3901 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Bill Fulton will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A Private Family Visitation will on Saturday November 7, 2020 from 9:00 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or service wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
