James Michael Miller

Danville - James Michael Miller, 25, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Alvin, IL passed away on February 9, 2015 in Raleigh, North Carolina. James was born the son of Janet Pettice and Mick Miller on February 28, 1989 in Danville, Illinois. James is survived by his mother Janet (Brian) Pettice of Alvin and father Mick (Michelle) Miller of Statesville, North Carolina; his two brothers Aidan James Pettice of Alvin and Michael D. Miller II of Statesville, North Carolina; his grandparents John and Linda Stark of Dover, Tennessee, Robert Rossi of Chicago Heights, Illinois, Jackie Payton of Crete, Illinois, Danny and Penny Miller of Tilton, Terry and Yvonne Sherman of Ridge Farm; great-grandparents Betty Richards of Statesboro, Georgia, and Adele Rossi of Chicago Heights; aunts and uncles Jimmi Williams and Sam Pennington, John and Rachel Stark, Jason and Melanie Stark, Rhiannon Rossi, Baily and Mike Sons, Brandy Hubbard, Tammy and Chuck Falletti, Brock and Lua Sherman, and many loving friends and extended family. James was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Joseph and Mary Stark, Russell Richards, and Samuel Rossi II, and grandparents Carl and Vera Pettice. James graduated from Bismarck High School in 2007. James was known as a creative young man. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, writing songs, and taking photos. When he was in an adventurous mood he enjoyed riding his fixed gear bike, kayaking, skateboarding, and riding motorcycles. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
