James Michael Bailey, Sr

Danville James Michael Bailey, Sr., 65, of Danville passed away at 10:59 AM on August 15, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

James was born on October 16, 1955 the son of Royal and Jo Darleen (Andrews) Bailey in Phoenix, AZ. He married Annette Woodard on December 7, 1984 and she survives.

Survivors include his mother, Jo Darleen Kimball of Danville, IL, his wife, Annette Bailey of Danville, IL, three children, Nicole (Greg) Phillips of Oakwood, IL, James Michael (Molly) Bailey, Jr., of Westville, IL, and Andrew Gene Bailey of Danville, IL, six grandchildren, Brock, Noah, Rowan, Bryson, Kyler and Aubryahna, one great grandchild, Maverick as well as three siblings, David Bailey of Danville, IL, Ronnie Bailey of Danville, IL and Crystal (Tim) Starr of Danville, IL.

James is preceded in death by his father, Royal Bailey and five siblings, Linda Kay, Sharon, Bobby, Cindy, and Mark.

James was a Master Technician for many years. He enjoyed spending his free time watching NASCAR, camping, and taking trips to McDonalds and fishing with Rowan.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in James memory to the Throat Cancer Foundation.
