James M. Ren

James M. Ren, 70, of Danville, died at 1:09 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2006, at Provena U.S.M.C. in Danville. James was born January 31, 1936, in Melvin, IL, the son of Melvin and Helen McAtee Ren. He married Shirley Yutis on April 7, 1956 in Westville, IL. She survives. James is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Tom) Firestone of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Kyle Firestone and Melissa (Jeremy) Nice both of Indianapolis, IN and one sister, Judy Riggleman of Lake Village, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard, and two children. James worked as an electrician with Local I.B.E.W. #538 for 45 years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed being outdoors, either hunting, fishing, or playing golf. James also loved spending time with his grandchildren. A celebration of Jamess life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville.
