James Aquino, 54, of Danville, passed away at 3:08 PM on February 9, 2012 at his home. James was born on July 15, 1957 in Danville the son of Henry and Shelby (Garmon) Aquino. He married Lisa Johnson on January 29, 1989 in Lebanon, IN. She survives. He is survived by one son- Joseph Aquino of Danville, two daughters- Heather (Cody) Rundle of Danville and Jenna (Johnny) Engleman of Oakwood, two grandchildren- Reese and Jade Rundle. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Mark Aquino. James served in the Navy for a short time before graduating with an Associates degree in science from Danville Area Community College. He became an electrician for the IBEW Local #538 and worked there for several years, then worked at the University of Illinois for 17 years. James was a member of the American Legion, GAO GROTTO, and the Masonic Lodge. He loved riding motorcycles, horses, playing softball, hunting, boating and most of all spending time visiting with friends and family. The thing he loved most of all was playing and spending time with his two granddaughters Reese and Jade. A Celebration of James's Life will be held on Monday February 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Miles Clarke officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday February 12, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow. Memorials can be made in James's name to the American Cancer Society.
