James "Jimmy" Koss, 50, of Danville passed away at 2:00 am Tuesday July 27, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Jimmy was born on September 17, 1953 in Danville the son of Frank and Ruth (Rogers) Koss. His Mother Ruth Snook of Sidell survives. Other survivors include a daughter Jamie Mills of Danville and 3 brothers Frank (Deb) Koss of Georgetown, Rick (Nancy) Koss of Catlin and Charlie (Susie) Koss of Sidell, 4 sisters Treva (Jim) Simmons of Sidell Connie Weidenburne of Ridgefarm, Ruthie Koss of Sidell and Reba (Don) Haun of Westville. 4 Grandchildren Ryan Dieu, Dylan, Jordan, and Tylon Mills Jr. all of Danville, many nieces, nephews and friends. Jimmy's fathers Earl Snook and Frank Koss preceded him in death. Jimmy graduated from Jamaica High School in 1973. He worked in construction for Better Built Buildings. Jimmy was a member of St Isaac Catholic Church in Westville. Jimmy was an avid Illinois fan and loved DA BEARS. He especially loved attending his grandkids sporting events and being in the great outdoors.
