James 'Jim' L. Bowman

James "Jim" L. Bowman, 55, of Danville, passed away at 5:10am, Thursday, March 29, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. He was born on May 19, 1962, in Danville the son of Robert and Beatrice {Masulis} Bowman. He was united in marriage to Robin Clemmons on February 13, 1988, in Danville, IL. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his daughter, Melissa (Dustin Coon) Bowman; his brothers, Robert (Mona) Bowman & Kenny (Crystal) Bowman; his sisters, Karen (Jay) Blaker & Sharon (Mike) Pate; his grandchildren, Joseph Howard Miller & Robert James Miller; and his step-grandchildren, Harley Coon & Damien Coon. Jim will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, & cousins, as well as his childhood friends from Martin Street. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim worked at Bumper Works in Danville as a machine operator. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. He loved watching NASCAR and Indy Car racing as well as football. He was a wonderful person who loved his family and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, April 2, 2018, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville. Visitation will be held 11am to 1pm on Monday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville.
