James 'Jim' Arthur Rice

JAMES JIM ARTHUR RICE James Jim Arthur Rice, 69, of Danville, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 at Danville Care Center. Jim was born on November 6th, 1940 in Catlin, the son of William E. and Mary F. (Brewer) Rice. He is survived by two brothers- Bob Rice and Henry Rice both of Danville; a sister- Nancy (Bob) Meeker of Canby, Oregon; two sisters-in-law- Joyce Rice of Conover, North Carolina and Donna Rice of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers- Ray Rice, Earl Rice and John Rice. Jim graduated from Henning High School. He worked for 18 years at General Electric, 5 years at Valmont and 10 years at Autozone. He was a member of the Balloon Federation of America. Jim enjoyed ballooning and going to Steak n Shake to visit with friends. A Celebration of the life of James Jim Arthur Rice will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating.
