James Hyde

James Hyde, 61, passed away in his home in Georgetown, Illinois on June 24, 2023. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on October 26, 1961 to parents Larry and Sue (Bloomfield) Hyde, and married Pam Mattes in Danville, Illinois on Valentines Day of 1987. She, unfortunately, preceded him in death in 2017.

James is survived by his daughters, Jaimee (Eric) Henschen and Kimberly (Shaun Richards) Mattes. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Pop-Pop"; Leya Richards, Dylan Richards, and Payton Brown; his siblings, Cindy (Jeff) Montgomery, Steve (Beverly) Hyde, and Donald Bloomfield; his niece and nephews, Misty, Johnnie, and Bobby; and his best friends, Pam Nose. James will also be missed by his cat of many names, Old Man.

James was preceded in death by his parents and wife; his daughter, Ashley Hyde; a brother, William Hyde; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Bloomfield.

In his spare time, James enjoyed watching TV, especially his favorite show, Supernatural. He also spent time becoming an expert of several games.

Private services were held by the family, and James has been laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home at 3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL, 61834.
