James F. Francis

James F. Francis, 81, of Ridge Farm, IL, entered into his eternal kingdom on March 9, 2022, at 5:57am at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, IL. Jim was born to Lymon and Alice J. (Boots) Francis on August 12, 1940, in Ridge Farm, IL. On May 30, 1964, Jim married the love of his life. Janice Ann (Staub) Francis, she survives.

Also surviving along with his wife, Janice, is two loving sons, Stephen (Penny) Francis of Paris, IL, and Christopher (Stephanie) of Olivet; five loving grandchildren, Amanda Poznanski, Lisa Francis, Michael Francis, Kristen (Daniel) Spangler, and Erin (Bryce Runyan) Francis all of Paris, IL; twelve great grandchildren, Kiersten (Wormy) Ashton, Braxston Poznanski, Allison and Taylor Trigalet, Amelia Rose Francis -Runyan, Jaiden and Aubree Spangler, and Everleigh Francis all of Paris, IL, Jane Francis of Danville, IL, Jackie and Jewells of Danville, IL; six brother and sisters in laws, Robert (Cindi) Staub of Montgomery, AL, Elizabeth (Zia) Durrani of Westmont, IL, Fred (Ruth) Staub of Georgetown, IL, Margaret (Maggie Biggs) Lynn Good of Chrisman, IL, and Gerald (Toni) Staub of Ridge Farm, IL. Jim is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lymon and Alice; very special in laws, Bernard and Gladys Staub, and Jim (Shirley) Staub; nieces, Jill Marie Staub and Janelle Daily; nephew, Matthew Staub.

Jim loved to fish and camping at Lincoln Trails and Walnut Point, most of all he loved playing around on his John Deere and Ford Tractors. He worked at Hyster in Danville for 32 years until he retired. His favorite thing though was farming all John Deere of course for the Smith Family Farm in Ridge Farm and Georgetown. He had a very special bond with Don, Ann, Kent, Diane, Dennis, Annette, Jason, Danielle, Clayton, Regan, Kevin and Darryl for probably close to 20 years. services will be by his close friend, Dennis Smith. Jim and Dennis (Old Guy) had a bond that was so special and unconditional.

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors and OSF in Critical Care unit who went above and beyond making Jim Comfortable in his final days.

A Celebration of Jims life will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, IL, 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. he will be laid to rest in Pilot Grove Cemetery in Ridge Farm, IL.
