James H. Eldridge, age 77, of Peoria, formally of Oakwood, passed away at 8:45 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Belwood Nursing Home in Peoria, IL. He was born July 10, 1930 in Oakwood the son of Ernest and Gladys (Bailey) Eldridge. James is survived by one son: Dennis (Pamela) Eldridge of Peoria; one daughter: Tina May Blakeney of Chillicothe, IL; five sisters: Margie (Art) Horschler of Joliet, IL, Martha Randall of the state of Florida, Olive Mickle of the state of California, Patty (Howard) Martin of Fairmount, Gladys Miller of Danville; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and an infant brother. James served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He then worked for General Motors as a Core Processor for twenty five years until his retirement. James loved to fish, play his guitar and go mushroom hunting. He attended the Nazarene Church in Ogden and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #980, Anchor Lodge, Korean War Organization and the VFW Post # 724.
