Cates, Ind. - James D. Wooster, Sr., 68, of Cates, passed away at 8:50 a.m. EDT Thursday, April 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1943 in Rolla, Missouri, the son of the late William and Oma Campbell Wooster. He married Loretta N. Tibbett on April 17, 1981 in Danville, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Susan(Doug)Pearson and Mary Calicotte both of St. James, Missouri; Carrie(Don)Reed of Jacksonville, Florida; Shawna(Scot)Straight of Leeton, Missouri; James(Nikol)Wooster, Jr. of Holden, Missouri; Lyrea Moody of Kingman, Indiana; Sandra Moody of Danville, Illinois; Ruth(Allen)McElfresh of Rolla, Missouri; William(Dana)Sanders, Jr. of Cates, Indiana; Kenneth Sanders of Shreve, Ohio and Donny(Penny)Sanders of Cates, Indiana; 31 grandchildren; 28 great grandchldren; four sisters, Betty(Harold)Warren of Thorton, Colorado; Ethel Cooley of Rolla, Missouri; Dorothy(Bill)Richison of Houma, Louisiana and Billie Kirkendall of Montpelier, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janie SueLyn Wooster, one granddaughter, one sister and two brothers. James retired from Paste Dairy in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 2006. He later worked part-time at the Cayuga Red and White. James enjoyed fishing, tending to his yard and spending time with his many grandchildren. At his own request, there will be no services. Cremation will be accorded with a private family service to be held at the Lake of the Ozarks (Missouri) at a later date.
