James David Jim Murray, 74, of Oakwood, formerly of Danville, passed this Life at 3:50pm on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his home. He was born on February 20, 1936, in Danville, the son of William K. and Harriet R. Murray. Jim graduated from Danville High School in 1954, and later entered into St. Paul Bible College in the fall of 1955. During his first marriage, Jim was blessed with five children, Ann, David, Lynn, Jeanne, and Karen. During these years, Jim worked at various jobs, including; Berkley Equipment Co., and Leverenz Electric Co. in Danville. In 1958, Jim moved to Lincoln, Neb., were he was employed with C.B. &Q Railroad for a short time, and later worked for the Goodyear Rubber CO., and the American Stores Packing House. A year later, Jim moved back to Danville, and was employed with the Asphalt Corp of America Rubber Co., and then NACCO, formerly Hyster-Yale for 37 years, taking early retirement due to health issues. In July of 1968, Jim married Kathleen Moreman and was introduced to her three young children, David, Bobby, and Kathy, subsequently, Jim and Kathleen extended the family with Tom, Tami, and Dusty. Jim is survived and will be missed by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen, and their 10 children, Ann (Bob) Weisenburger, James David (Donna) Murray Jr., Lynn Ellen, (Woody) Widdifield, Jeanne Elise (Paul) Allan, Karen Danielle Murray, David Allan (Mickie) Jones, Kathleen Hart, Thomas E. (Jeanne) Murray, Tamara E. (Mitch) Gee, and Dusty C.R. (Christin) Murray. Jim is also survived by his 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His parents, brother, William K. Murray, 1 son, Robert Wayne Jones, and two grandchildren preceded Jim in death. Jim attended the Danville Alliance Church, was a faithful devoted Christian, and enjoyed studying scripture. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting, and collecting license plates for his garage. Jim had an interest in astrology, geology, rock polishing, target shooting, and was a collector of firearms. He will be missed by all that knew him. A graveside celebration for James Jim Murrays Life will begin at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park located at 3901 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with Internment to follow. Family and friends are welcome to started gathering at 1:00pm on Wednesday at the graveside for this celebration.
