James Chambers

James L. Chambers, 43, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:21 AM on April 6, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

James was born on December 1, 1981 in Bloomington, IN the son of Sherrie Dephue.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Jessica Chambers of Danville, IL, his children, Zolyssa Chambers, Zamarah Chambers, Keyano Chambers and Keyandre Chambers all of Danville, three sisters Melissa (Kevin) Grange of Bloomington, IN, Kandrea (Zeb) Britton of Tangier, IN and Alaynie Carr of Covington, IN, his brothers, Jeremy Britton of Van Wert, OH, Zeb Britton of Tangier, IN and Rob, Trever and Mooney, and former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alan and Lynnette Carr of Covington IN. James is also survived by five nieces, four nephews, three great nieces and two great nephews.

James is preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Crystal Chambers and one uncle, Billy Dephue.

James was a District Manager for Casey’s. He enjoyed spending his free time traveling and vacationing to a variety of destinations, fishing, playing video games and cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers in football and basketball.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the funeral home.
