CATLIN- James Jim Leroy Burt Jr, 62 of Catlin, passed away at 8:12am on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Danville on October 4, 1942, the son of James L. Burt Sr. and Winifred M. (Rippen) Burt. Jim met Nancy Mollett and later was married on Jan 10, 1960 in Danville. She survives and will miss him dearly. Other family that will miss Jim is his mother, Winifred, his three daughters, Kelly J. Pollock of Catlin, Paula S. Pearson (Steve Rustman), of Flanagan, IL, and Libby R. (Patrick) Pierce of Catlin. Jim is also survives by one brother, Steve (Beverly) Burt of Danville, as well as his twelve grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, Ashley, Kaylee, Stephanie (fianc(c) Dean), Bethanie, Taylor, JoHannah, Ally, Gabby, Katie, Maddie, and one great-granddaughter, Haylee, which all will always have a special place in their hearts for grandpa. His father James Sr., and his two daughters, Amy Lee, and Sheri Lynn precede him in death. Jim was Westville High graduate and work for the TeePak foundry in Danville until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the TeePak Credit Union and very active in youth sports, dedicating his spare time in starting the first youth football league in Vermilion County as well as a coach for several years. Jim enjoyed coaching and watching sports, especially the Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs and Bears, but his favorite pastime and joy of his life was enjoying his grandchildren. Jim touched many hearts and will be missed by all.
