Jacquita M. Craft, 68, of Georgetown, passed away at 11:56pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on December 16, 1947, in Horse Cave, Kentucky, to Roy and Audrey {Miller} Witherspoon. She was united in marriage to James Craft on September 26, 1964, in Georgetown, until his passing on January 5, 2013. Those will miss her include: Her mother, Audrey Witherspoon of Georgetown; her children, Tracy (Sabrina) Craft of Danville, Mark (Melissa) Craft of Georgetown, Annette Stevens of Danville, & Omekia (Greg) Arford of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Aaron, Kayla, Brady, Chelsea, Dawson, Kylyn, Ashely, Jordan, Colten, Jarrett, her great grandchildren, Ashton, Weston, Ryder, Racin, & Luka, Grayson, & Jaxton; her brother, Don (Lisa) Witherspoon of Hartselle, AL; her sisters, Audrey Allison, Cindy Allison, & Virginia Mayo, all of Georgetown; and many extended family, as well as, several friends. She was preceded in death by: her father; her sister, Faye Collins; and her brothers, Michael David, Gorman Ronald, & Kenneth Witherspoon. Jacquita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandma, as well as daughter, sister, & aunt. She was a beautician for 45 years having her own beauty shop in Georgetown. She also worked many years at G.E./Valmont, Hyster, & Bunge. Jacquita was known to make the best homemade noodles which were requested at every holiday gathering to enjoy. She was an avid Bingo player and belonged to the Cayuga Women's Auxiliary. She loved going out to eat with her family and spending vacations with them. She especially enjoyed zip-lining, horseback riding, & snorkeling with Omekia. She attended her grandchildren's school and extracurricular activities. Jacquita loved going to Omekia's salon and interacting with clients. She like to visit with her Mother every Saturday afternoon. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. A celebration of Jacquita's life will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 7, 2016, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Pastor Jerry Silver officiating. Visitation will be held 1pm-5pm, Sunday, November 6, 2016, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery with her beloved husband.
