Jacqueline Catherine Kantout

Jacqueline Catherine {Mackiewicz} Kantout, 85, of Westville, passed away at 8:49am, Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Asta Care Center, Paxton, IL. She was born on December 11, 1927, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Frank Mackiewicz and Julia Hanciaux. She was united in marriage to Richard Frank Kantout in 1947. She is survived by: her children, Michael (Sherry) Kantout of Westville, Lisa Kantout of Florida, and Gregory "Whitey" Rand of Westville; her grandchildren, Michele (Jason) Ryan of Westville, Brandi Kantout of Texas, Ashley, Crager, Becall, & Christopher, all of Florida; her great grandchildren, Alexa, Makenzie, both of Westville, & Jacob of Florida; and her half siblings, Alan, Dale, Paul, Robert, Don & Marlene Mackiewicz, Robert & Sharon Brady of Catlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Rick Allen Kantout. Jacqueline was a member of St. Mary's Church where she did volunteer work in St. Mary's School library when her daughter, Lisa, attended. She loved taking care of her great grandchildren, Alexa & Makenzie, they loved her very much and will be greatly missed by them. She was a great Wife, Mother, & Grandmother and her family will miss her dearly. A celebration of Jacqueline's life will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorials may be made in her name to donor's choice.
