Jacqueline Alura Burch, 83, of Mahomet passed away at 11:23 a.m. on July 6, 2024. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 1, 1940, the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Mosier) Moore. On July 8, 1961, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Daniel Lee Burch. Together Jacqueline and Daniel had two sons, Roy (Connie) Burch and Mark (Karen) Burch, they survive.
Jacqueline is also survived by her grandchildren Travis Burch and Tyler (Elizabeth) Burch, sister, Suzie (Danny) Gritton, brother, Robert (Char) Moore, and longtime family friends, the Lovay Family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma, and her beloved husband, Daniel.
Jacqueline was a compassionate and nurturing woman. She graduated from Bronson School of Nursing in Kalamazoo, MI where she obtained a degree as a Registered Nurse. Jacqueline cared for countless people throughout her long career with her work at the Home for the Aged in Saginaw, MI, and her time in Hospice Care where she worked and volunteered for over 25 years.
She was a devout member of the of the Faith United Methodist Church in Champaign and enjoyed going to Bible Study and prayer. She also strongly supported the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer, AK. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time gardening, participating in Jazzercise, watching the hummingbirds, and watching her favorite show, Jeopardy.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Sunsets Mahomet Chapel 1102 Churchill Rd. Mahomet, IL 61853.
Inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park in Portage, MI. Following the burial a service and reception will take place at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 224 E Cass St, Schoolcraft, MI. An additional reception will also take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Christ the Good Shepherd Church at 2445 N. Charles St. Saginaw, MI
