Jacob Pollock

Jacob Pollock, 25, of Catlin, passed away at 5:22pm, December 4, 2009, at Provena USMC, Danville. He was born on November 27, 1984 the son of Gregory Pollock and Kelly Pollock. He will be missed by: his father, Gregory (Tonya Woods) Pollock of Catlin; his mother, Kelly Pollock of Catlin; his maternal grandmother, Nancy (Robert) Burt Brown of Catlin; his maternal great grandmother, Winifred Burt of Danville; his brother, Lucas (Candise) Pollock of Georgetown; his nephews, Nathan & Ethan Pollock of Georgetown; his aunts, Tammie Millikin of Panama City, FL, & Libby Pierce of Catlin; his uncle, Steven Burt of Danville, & Danny Pierce of Catlin; his great-aunt, Eileen Werner of Wesley Chapel, FL; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Wendell & Darlene Pollock; his maternal grandfather, James Lee Burt Jr; his aunts, Amy Lee Burt, Sheri Burt, & Paula Burt Pearson. Jacob worked for the Rehabilitation/Doors Center in Danville. He loved to go mushroom hunting and he sang for various bands. He was an avid Chicago Cubs & Bears fan and also cheered on the Illini. He will be missed by those who knew him. A celebration of Jacobs life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. Kevin Cox will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Oakridge Cemetery, Catlin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcomed by the family.
