Jack Walls, Jr, 90, of Westville, passed away at 2:53pm, Monday, January 26, 2015, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville. He was born on January 16, 1925, in West Frankfort, IL, the son of Wilma Cornelius. He was united in marriage to Beverly Libert on March 5, 1949, in Chicago. Jack worked for Illinois Power Company in the Gas Department for 35 years. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army serving during WWII in Pattons 3rd Army and was at Normandy Beach. He was a member of the American Legion Post #51. Jack was an avid bowler and enjoyed working on his home, building onto his house and tinkering around. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Walls of Danville and his daughter, Linda Walls of Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents & his mother. A celebration of Jacks life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with visitation one hour prior to his services at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in his name to American Cancer Society or Donors Choice of charity.
