Jack Raymond Kotcher

Jack Raymond Kotcher, 77, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 4:49am, Monday, June 23 2014, at Presence USMC, Danville. He was born on October 5, 1936, in Georgetown the son of Louis and Anna {Bradauskas} Kotcher. He was united in marriage to Peggy Lambert on April 18, 1964, at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, Georgetown. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his sons, Steve (Debbie) Kotcher of Indianola & Rob (Angie) Kotcher of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kennedy, & Colton; his sister, Marian Lutchka of Westville; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his two brothers, Louis & Bill Kotcher. Jack was a proud Veteran of the US Army. He retired from Hyster/Nacco in Danville. He enjoyed photography, water skiing, woodworking, gardening, & bee-keeping. He always had animals and loved working on the farm with his family. He also enjoyed square dancing, traveling to Europe, England, & Greece, and was a Civil-War buff, collecting a lot of keepsakes and researching & visiting battlefields. He loved his family and being able to spend time with them was important to him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 27, 2014, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Georgetown, with Fr. Timothy Sauppe officiating. Visitation will be 4pm-8pm, Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with a Rosary to be held at 4:00pm. He will be laid to rest in Vermilion Grove Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Dornblaser Post #203. Memorial donations may be given in his name to National Parkinsons Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131.
