Jack W. McMillin, age 81, of Danville, passed away at his granddaughters, Rene Perales, home in Jacksonville, IL on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. He was born August 2, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio the son of the late Gordon and Maybell (McKim) Seilhymer McMillin. Jack was raised by his mother and step father Wm. O. Seilhymer. Jack married Marie Johnson in 1948 and she preceded him in death on February 22, 1991. During World War II Jack served three years in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific on the attack ship Zaurak as a helmsman. His ship was under attack 22 times. After the war he worked mostly on construction. Survivors include his daughter: Jackie (Mike) Clemmons of Danville; grandson: Bobby (Jodie) Newlun of Pembroke Pines, FL; granddaughters: Rene (Steve) Perales of Jacksonville, IL, Michele (Bill) Everhart of Riverton, IL, Tracy (Brian) Meeham of Sommerville, AL; two sisters: Sally (Don) Fitzsmmons of Danville, Emily (Floyd) Scarlett of Jones, Michigan; one brother: Neil (Jane) McMillin of Danville; and ten grand grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters: Kathleen Lamb and Rosemary Mahorney.
