Jack Hawkins

Covington, Ind. - Jack Hawkins, 89, of Covington, passed away at 6:44 p.m. EDT Thursday, June 18, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana.

He was born on February 9, 1931 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late William and Blanche (Wygant) Hawkins.

Jack married Eileen Hay on March 25, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughters: Dorrain 'Lynn' (Gary) Brauninger and Donna Crouse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his sister: Ruth Simmons.

Jack was preceded in death by his son: Douglas, and son-in-law: Allyn Crouse.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Muncie Baptist Church in Muncie, Illinois.

Per Jack's request cremation accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana assisted the family with arrangements.
