DANVILLE - Jack G. Pridemore, 79, passed away at 11:15am, Wednesday, January 9th, 2008, at the VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL. He was born on January 18th, 1928, in Danville, IL, the son of Clint and Iva (Hensley) Pridemore, both deceased. He was married to Virginia Miethe on May 13th, 1950, in Georgetown. She survives. Other survivors include: his son, Joseph Clint (Teresa) Pridemore of Danville; his daughter, Kimberly (Duane) Hall of Danville; his grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Pridemore, Joseph (Renee) Pridemore, Jennifer Pridemore, & Katey Hall; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Devon, Logan, & Madison; his brother, Marshall (Caroline) Pridemore of Westville. His three brothers - Cash, Gene, & Lorne, an infant brother, and two sisters - Joy & Fonda, preceded Jack in death. Jack was Veteran of the US Army and served during WWII. He worked at Allith Prouty for 33 years. He retired from Danville Metal Stamping. He also worked part-time as a delivery driver for Bratlands Pharmacy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #51 of Westville. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed reading Westerns, camping, mushroom hunting, raising livestock, and watching the Price is Right on television. A celebration of Jacks life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 12th, 2008, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. Pastor James Blue will officiate the service. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm, Saturday, January 12th, 2008, at the funeral chapel. He will be laid to rest in Parrish Cemetery with military rites done by Westville American Legion Post #51. Memorial donations may be given in Jacks name to the American Legion Post #51.
