Jack Dean Grubb

Covington, Ind. - Jack Dean Grubb, 85, of Covington, passed away at 9:51 a.m. EDT Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at his residence.

Jack was born December 7, 1932 in Covington, Indiana the son of the late Theodore Meeker and Eva Myrtle Maffett Grubb.

He married Linda Ruth McCullough on October 25, 1975 in Covington, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Jackie Maddox of Westville, Illinois; Rick Grubb of Jamestown, Kentucky; Craig Grubb of Kingman, Indiana; Keith (Crissy Yoder) Grubb of Addison, Michigan; Jamie(Scott)Winters of Danville, Illinois; Jeff (Josie) Rankin of Perrysville, Indiana and Jolinda(Donnie) True of Nashville, Tennessee; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his two son-in-laws, Steve Maddox and Ken Lewsader and two sisters, Lois Mycroft and Mary Jean Crain.

Jack was a retired contractor and formerly owned and operated Grubb Construction Company. He attended the Perrysville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, mushrooming, watching sports, especially NASCAR and his favorite drivers, and socializing and selling his produce throughout the community. He was also very fond of his pug dog, Samme. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, October 11, 2018 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Bob Fairchild; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: Noon EDT Thursday, October 11, 2018 until time of services at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Perrysville United Methodist Church or to the Fountain County Animal Shelter.
