Jack D. Campbell, 92, passed away on Friday, June 07, 2019 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton. He was born on November 9, 1926 the son of Clay Campbell and Ruby (Makemson) Campbell. They precede him in death.
Also preceding Jack in death are his wife, Ramona, who passed in 2003; one brother, Robert Campbell; and one sister, Myra Campbell.
He leaves behind two sons, Shawn (Cherri) Campbell and Greg (Melinda) Campbell; one daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Hasenauer; seven grandchildren, Matthew Campbell, Elizabeth (Corey) Volker, Ben Crowley, Justin (Michelle) Campbell, Jaime (Travis) Steinmetz, Miranda (Adam) Groth, and Andrew (Christina) Kumler; as well as 10 great grandchildren.
Jack worked in education all his life. He taught in Eastland and Milford. He was a Principal at Onarga, Iroquois West, Atwood-Hammond, and at Columbus Christian School in Indiana. He had a passion for music as well as education. He played the Hawaiian steel guitar, he was the band director at Milford High School, and taught music lessons at B&J Music in Danville until he was 85.
A private family service will be held this month and he will be buried at Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin, IL.
