Jack Boose

Jack Boose, 83, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:25pm, Sunday, May 8, 2011, at his home. He was born the son of Harley & Anna {Boen} Boose on December 2, 1927, in Georgetown. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Brant on May 23, 1958, in Georgetown. She will miss him dearly. Others who will miss him include: his sons, John (Kara) Boose of Petersburg, IL, James Boose of Georgetown, Jay (Nancy) Boose of Georgetown, & Joe (Nicole) Boose of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Shelby, Bethany, Nikayla, & Jayson Boose, all of Georgetown; his sister, Judith Ann (Bob) David of Danville; also several nieces & nephews; and special friends, Bud Felgenhauer of Georgetown, Joe Sungail of Dana, IN, & Archie & Katie Gustafson of Georgetown. His parents preceded him in death. Jack worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation operating heavy equipment for 36 years until he retired, as well as, farming all of his life. He was known for his love of pulling draft horses, gardening, & his well-manicured lawn. Above all else, Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. A celebration of Jacks life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, in Georgetown with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 4p-8p, Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the funeral chapel. He will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm. Memorials may be given in his name to Provena Hospice.
