Jack Allen Comstock, 68, of Danville, passed away at 2:54 p.m. Friday, July 1st, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Jack was born on June 30th, 1943, in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Basil and Mary (Tracy) Comstock. He married Patty Comstock on July 13th, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. He is also survived by a son, daughter and a sister-Pamela (Rick) Burtis of Champaign. He was preceded in death by his parents-Basil Comstock and Mary Knight. Jack graduated from Danville High School in 1961. After high school he joined the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He worked at Allied Chemical for 30 years, until he retired in 1994. After retiring he went to work at Masterguard and worked there for 14 years, until retiring again in 2007. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners and Second Church of Christ in Danville. Jack enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing euchre, traveling to Las Vegas and spending time with friends. He especially loved spending time with his wife Patty and going places with each other. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend-Patty. A Celebration of the life of Jack Allen Comstock will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Dale Deneal officiating. Burial will follow the service at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
