Izel Irene Riggs

Izel Irene (Foster) Riggs, 83, of Danville, went home to be with her Lord on February 14, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. Izel was born November 26, 1929 in Jamestown, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Mollie (Chrisman) Foster. She married JT Riggs June 18, 1948 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He survives. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Joe (Kathy) Riggs of Danville and Ron (Debbie) Riggs of Alvin, her grandchildren- Jennifer (Jeremy) Clark of Georgetown, IL, Kathy Knapp of Tokyo, Japan, Megan (Casey) Hardesty of Farmer City, IL, and Nathan Riggs of Bloomington, IL, her great-grandchildren- Tristan and Kylie Knapp of Tokyo, Japan, Owen and Ethan Clark of Georgetown, IL and Tray, Presley, Drake and Brooklyn Hardesty of Farmer City, IL, her sister- Rosa (RV) Stephens of Russell Springs, KY, her brother- William (Rosie) Foster of Dewitt, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother- Virlan, one sister- Della and her grandson- Seth. She was a member of Danville Evangelical Church. Izel was a loving homemaker and she dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, who were the joys of her life. She will be remembered as a woman of great faith and as a prayer warrior. She will be missed by all those fortunate to have known her. A Celebration of Izel's life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration home in Danville with Rev. Bryan Sampson officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 PM. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
