Ivan P. 'Mac' Mcmasters

Ivan P. Mac McMasters, 94 of Tilton, passed this Life at 4:48pm on Monday, April 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1916, in Tangier, IN, the son of Arthur and Asenith (Hicks) McMasters. In 1951, Mac married Mary Richards until her passing in 1974. On July 6, 1979, Mac married Evelyn Lawrence. She survives along with six children, Asenith (the late, John) Wynn of Tilton, Debbie (Robert) Kelly of Danville, David (Sandra) McMasters of St. Joseph, James (Dalee) Kennedy of Westville, Michael (Marcela) Kennedy of Watseka, and Jeff (Susan) Coffing of Covington, IN. His six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive Mac. Along with his first wife Mary, his parents and brother, Orville McMasters preceded Mac in death. Mac was a United States Army veteran serving during WWII. He was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters local 26 of Danville. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling in his younger years. A Celebration of the Life of Ivan P. Mac McMasters will began at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with Pastor Daniel Fienen officiating. Interment will be held at Stearns Cemetery following the service with military rites to be honored.
