Isabelle Bodart

Isabelle Bodart, 91, of Westville, passed away at 3:22pm, Monday, June 2nd, 2008, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on October 13th, 1915, in Newport, IN, to Anderson and Rosa (Nimrick) Dunavan, both deceased. On November 23rd, 1932, Isabelle was united in marriage to Frank Bodart for 61 and half years until he passed away on August 14th, 1994. Those who will miss her include: her son, Richard Bodart of Westville; her daughter, Dorothy M. (Kenneth) Palmer of Perrysville, IN; her grandchildren, Shanelle L. Palmer of Georgia, Kristain L. Palmer of Gilbert, AZ, Kenneth K. Palmer of Ellabell, GA, & Michael R. Palmer of Ellabell, GA; her two nieces and several nephews; and her special friends, Debbie Ellis & Scotty Deknuydt. Her two brothers, Austin & Cecil Dunavan, and her infant son, Frankie Jr., preceded Isabelle in death. Isabelle worked for General Electric for eighteen and half years after which she retired. She was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church and an avid Bible reader. She enjoyed traveling, horse-back riding, and writing cards to her friends. She loved to garden, tend her flowers and cooking. Above all, she cherished her family and time spent with them. A celebration of Isabelles life will be held at 11:00am (EST), Saturday, June 7th, 2008, at Cayuga Christian Church in Indiana. Andy Spencer will officiate. Visitation will be held 4pm to 8pm (CST), Friday, June 6th, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
