Irene G. Columbo

Irene G. Columbo 76, of Danville passed away at 3:50 a.m. Sunday September 4, 2006 at North Logan Healthcare. She was born February 12, 1930 in Georgetown, IL, the daughter of Smith and Alice Griffith Moody. She married John Columbo on November 26, 1954 in Urbana, IL, he survives, also two sons; Ricky Varvel and John (Cindy) Columbo both of Danville, two daughters; Susan Kingery and Lisa Columbo both of Danville, two sisters; Lucille Harper of Tilton and Patricia (Sam) Nale of Montana, also seven grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers and two great-granddaughters. Irene was a homemaker and loved to cook for family gatherings, she was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Danville. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. A celebration of life funeral service for Irene will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 8, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Officiating: Bishop Aaron Julian.
