Inge M. Kellner

Inge (Berenz) Kellner, 83 of Tilton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 in the comfort of her home. She was born on April 29th, 1936 in Bolko, Germany, the daughter of Joesef and Anna (Doms) Berenz, both deceased.

On May 19, 1956, Inge married Manfred 'Fred' Kellner in Germany. Four years later, she immigrated to the United States, where on October 1, 1969 she became Naturalized as a citizen of the US. She is survived by her three children, Annet (John) Smart of Catlin, IL, Michael (Jill) Kellner of Mahomet, IL, and Robert (Kristiina) Kellner of Eagleville, TN. Her six grandchildren; Andrew (Kaitlyn) Smart, Lars Kellner, Steffen Kellner, Hans Kellner, Mia Kellner, Gabriella Kellner, and one great grandchild, Cooper Smart also survive her.

Inge was a homemaker to which she was known as one of the best cooks of German cuisine this side of the Atlantic Ocean. She also worked as a Nanny and a Baker at Arnholt's Bakery in Danville, IL. While knitting and crocheting were her favorite past time, she was always ready with a cup of coffee and a warm home to friends, visitors, and family.

A Celebration of the Life of Inge Kellner is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 N.
