Inez L. Acord

Inez L. Acord, 86, of Georgetown passed away at 3:23am, Friday, February 14, 2014, at Paris Health Care in Paris, IL. She was born on May 25, 1927, in Hawbuck, IL, the daughter of John and Lulu {Stark} Farrell, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Donald Acord on June 14, 1947, in Georgetown until his passing on February 17, 2005. She will be missed by: her children, Kenneth Acord of Georgetown, Donna Christine (Michael) Cosat of Georgetown, & Teresa Rae Whaley of Melbourne, AR; her grandchildren, Mike Cosat Jr, Brian (Bobbi) Cosat, Eric (Jessie) Cosat, Janet Taylor, RD (Jennifer) Acord, Donnie McQueen, Lisa (Brad) Wilson, Richard (Angie) Wyer, & Mathew Haga; 21 great grandchildren; and her sister, Mabel Lisick of Danville. She was preceded in death by: her son, Mickey Acord; her son-in-law, Tim Whaley; her brothers, Harold & Raymond; two infant brothers and her sister, Freda Rossiter Oliphant. Inez worked in some factories in her early years. She loved gardening and canning. She also loved to go camping and hosted many fish fries. Inez cherished her family the most and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandkids. A celebration of Inezs life will be held at 12:00pm, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 10am - 12pm, Tuesday, prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery.
