Imojean Luth

Perrysville, Ind. - Imojean Luth, 94, of Perrysville, passed away at 6:50 p.m. EST Thursday, December 8, 2011 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born April 25, 1917 in Georgetown, Illinois, the daughter of the late David Lester and Goldie Blanch Haworth Jones. She first married Scotty Cawthon and from this marriage were two children, Marlyn Parker of Grand Rapids, Michigan and James Cawthon of Gessie, Indiana. She later married Wilbur E. "Bud" Luth on August 14, 1949 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2009. From this marriage was one son, Joseph L.(Teila)Luth of Perrysville, Indiana. Also surviving is one step daughter, Mary Carol(Richard)Ruthven of Cream Ridge, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Imojean was preceded in death by her son, David Cawthon; brother, Charles D. Jones and daughter in law, Sandy Cawthon. Imojean taught piano lessons in the Perrysville, Indiana area for several years before her retirement. She was a member of the Wabash Chapel Church south of Covington, Indiana. Imojean was a 1935 graduate of Georgetown High School and the Olivet School of Music. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing her piano. Imojean was a very devoted christian and will be greatly missed by her family. Memorial services: 10 a.m. EST Saturday, December 17, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Jackie Bowling. There will be no visitation.
