Ilia 'Faye' Scott

Ilia Faye Scott, 74, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:47am, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at her home. She was born on December 7, 1940, in Weona, Arkansas, the daughter of Eskely and Martle L. {Dill} Redd, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Quincy Scott on February 8, 1957, in Greenfield, AR. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her children, Quincy (Katy) Scott Jr of Makanda, IL; her daughter, Laurie (Chuck McNeese) Tibbs of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Angela Tibbs of Chrisman, Valerie (Jay) Chapman of Clarksville, TN, Alexandra Scott of Carbondale, & Loren (Chance) Scott of Murphysboro, IL; her step-grandchildren, Caitlyn Deuel, Anthony Deuel, & Carter Deuel, all of Carbondale; her great grandchildren, Cassidy Bowen & Ridley Chapman; her brothers, Buddy Price of Sullivan, MO, Freddie Price of Jonesboro, AR, Eddie Price of Jonesboro, AR, & Gerald Redd of Texas; and her sisters, Kaye (Emmett) Roberts & Diane Stube, both of Jonesboro, AR. She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Alice Denise Scott; her sister, Bonnie Gayle Jensen; and eight other brothers & sisters. Faye was a loving homemaker and attended the Georgetown Nazarene Church. She loved flowers and watching TV. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. She cherished the 58 wonderful years she spent with the love of her life and husband, Quincy. She will be missed by all who loved her. The family wishes to thank Cathy Morris for the wonderful care she gave Faye. A celebration of Fayes life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 4pm-8pm, Friday, January 16, 2015, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
