Ila June Hinchman

Ila June Hinchman, 89, of Chrisman, passed away at 10:45am June 29, 2017. Ila was born in Danville on April 10, 1928 the daughter of George and Thelma Evens. On April 22, 1951 Ila married the love of her life Carl W. Hinchman and they spent the next 44 years together before his passing on June 8, 1995. Ila is survived by her daughter Pamela (Richard) Smith of Indianapolis. Ila is preceded in death by her parents, husband; step father, Paul; one brother, Ralph Evens; granddaughter, Amanda Cary, two brother-in-law's, and several aunts and uncles. Ila was a member of the GAO Grotto. She was a very adventurous person and loved traveling, whether it be camping or going of cruises she loved seeing new places. In her spare time Ila liked to dance and tend to her flowers and home. Her family and friends were her life and she will be deeply missed by all who met her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on July 5, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
