Ida Mae Macy

Ida Mae Hansbraugh Macy, 91, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Fithian, Illinois passed away on September 14, 2015 at North Metro Hospital in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She was born on October 12, 1923 in Commerce, MO, the daughter of William and Maud (Prester) George. She was married three times. First to John Stroud, second to Ora Hansbraugh who passed in 1966 and third to Russell Macy who passed in 1980. Ida will be deeply missed by her surviving children; Patricia Hazelbaker, William Hansbraugh, Joyce Mizell, Kathy Irvin and sister, Marcine Armstrong. Ida was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons Vernon and Larry Hansbraugh, three grandons, two brothers and two sisters. Ida retired from Civil Service where she worked many years at the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital. She was also a member of the Nazarene Church for a great many years. She loved sewing, gardening and spending time with grandchildren. The world will be a little colder without her warm cheerful spirit. A celebration of Ida's life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Ida will be laid to rest at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian, IL.
