Hubert Leroy Jordan, 64, of Danville passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Presence United Samaritan Medical Center in Danville. He was born August 29, 1949 the son of Paul and Mary (Sanders) Jordan, in Winchester, Tennessee. He married Faye Llewellyn on September 16, 1972, she survives. Also surviving Hubert are his three children Cindy VanCamp of Danville, Wendy (Shehal) Gandhi of St Louis, Missouri, and Ronda Jordan of Gainesville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Alison (Joe) Irons of Danville, Danny Llewellyn of Danville, Katie Llewellyn of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Brooke, Andrea and Samuel Gandhi of St Louis, Missouri, and Elijah Kilpatrick of Gainesville, Florida; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Caden, Cali, Akiera, Derrick, Joey and Mackenzie; five brothers, Larry (Janice) Jordan, Paul (Judy) Jordan, Carl (Carla) Jordan, Stan (Sue) Jordan and Jim (Paula) Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Jack Llewellyn. Hubert served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the CSX Railroad In 2004. He enjoyed working on tractors and being outside, watching TV, and spending time with his family. He was a very simple and gentle man, who worked very hard. A celebration of Huberts life will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, with Tim Willard officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-3 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Memorials may be made in Huberts name to the donors choice.
