Fishers, IN - Howard Bruce Eby of Fishers, IN passed away peacefully March 23, 2024. He was born February 16, 1931 in Aurora, IL to Oscar Samuel and Marie (Klingbeil) Eby.

Surviving is his wife Constance "Connie" J. Eby whom he married March 31, 1989. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Karyn (Gregory) Taylor, Boise ID and Lynda (John) Butler, Bloomington, IL; five grandchildren, Natalie (Dr. Tyler) Nguyen, Abbey (Christian) Taylor, Emily (Charlie) Lalumiere, Jack Butler, and James Butler; and a great granddaughter, Luna. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Eby.

Howard grew up in Naperville where he attended the public schools, graduating from Naperville High School in 1949. He entered North Central College that same year. After an interruption for military service, graduated in 1955 with a B.S. degree in Engineering Science.

He then joined the Engineering Department of Illinois Bell in Chicago, specializing in data communications. He spent several years in the Marketing Department in Chicago as well as AT&T corporate headquarters in New York City. He then moved to the Regulatory Department back in Chicago where he spent the balance of his 35-year career, retiring as District Manager in 1990. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or charity of your choice.

There will be a private graveside service. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
