Hollie Elizabeth Park

Hollie Elizabeth Park, 45, of Rantoul passed unexpectedly at home on Saturday (Oct. 14, 2023).

She was born Sept. 12, 1978, in Urbana, a daughter of Charles and Paula (Sanders) Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Ava Haltiwanger of Rantoul; her father, Charlie Park of Rantoul; and a sister, Heather (Michael) Whitcomb of Rantoul.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Hollie was a 1996 graduate of Rantoul Township High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Illinois State University. She was a teacher at Lincoln’s Challenge in Rantoul.

She was a longtime member of The Vineyard Church in Urbana, where she worked with youth. She was often making sure the youngsters had a way to and from church activities.

She loved her family, and that included not only blood relatives but also anyone in need, but first and foremost was her love for her daughter, Ava.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Vineyard Church, 1500 N. Lincoln Ave., Urbana. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would love to see donations made to The Vineyard Church to be used for youth scholarships, showing Hollie’s love for youth in the church.

Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul, is handling the arrangements.
