Hilda Boyer

INDIANOLA- Hilda (Duncan) Boyer, 92, of Indianola, passed away at 7:15pm on Monday, August 2, 2004, at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman. She was born on September 10, 1911, in Indianola, the daughter of Dudley and Julia (Cope) Duncan. She was united in marriage to Edgar T. Boyer on August 22, 1928, in Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1986. Hilda is survived by: two sons, Richard (Mary-Jo) Boyer of Indianola and Fredrick (Nancy) Boyer of California; a daughter, Pauline (Elmer Jack') Brannin of California; a special aunt, Kathleen Boyer of Indianola; her sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Her parents and one son-William Boyer, preceded her in death. Hilda was a devoted homemaker and a member of the former Baptist Church of Indianola. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers and spent many hours completing crossword puzzles as well as finding time to crochet. Most of all, Hilda made it a point to be a Best Friend' to all her grandchildren and family.
