Hershel L. Lamb

Danville, Ill. -- Hershel L. Lamb, 52, of Danville, passed away at 7:15 a.m. CST Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois. He was born January 9, 1959 in Crawfordsville, Indiana the son of the late Hershel C. and June Loveall Lamb. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Forrest of Tilton, Illinois and Jessica Lamb of Danville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Skyler Forrest, Christopher Forrest, Jr., Damien Forrest, Honesty Forrest and Jackson Forrest; four brothers, Tony Lamb and Jesse Lamb both of Tangier, Indiana; Jerry Lamb of Newport, Indiana and Edward Lamb of Tangier, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Ray Lamb. Hershel was currently employed at K.I.K. in Hegeler, Illinois. He was a 1978 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Hershel enjoyed playing regular nintendo, fishing and mushrooming hunting. There will be no services. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
