INDIANOLA - Herman R. Feezor, 79, of Indianola, IL, passed away at 6:34pm, Monday, June 9th, 2008, at Provena USMC, Danville. Herman was born on October 16th, 1928, in Georgetown, IL, to Claude and Mabel (Powell) Feezor. He was joined in marriage to Wilmetta Wax on August 25th, 1957, in Indianola. Survivors include: his wife, Wilmetta of Indianola; his three children, Nancy (Wesley) Grimes of Danville, Daniel (Jenny) Feezor of Waverly, IL, and Dr. Lori (Benjamin) Ribble of Franklin, IL; his six grandchildren, Adam & Samantha Grimes, Janet & Garrett Feezor, and Mikah & Noah Ribble; his sister, Beverly Whitington of Danville; his brother, Billy Feezor of Lebanon, MO; his two sisters-in-law, Naomi Feezor of Gary, IN, and June Feezor of Danville, IL; as well as, many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his mother & father; two brothers, Claude Feezor Jr and Melvin Feezor; and one sister-in-law, Alice Feezor. Herman was in the US Army from 1948 to 1952 and served in the Korean War as a Corporal. He retired from Hyster after 37 years of service and was a member of the Independent Lift Truck Builders Union. Herman was an active member of the Indianola United Methodist Church. Herman loved his fellow man and his gentle tap on the shoulder to his friends will be missed by all who knew and loved his gentle nature. He enjoyed music & working puzzles. Hermans love of education for his family and himself was the highlight of his life. He received his GED from DACC in 1969. In August of 2007, he celebrated his Golden Anniversary with his wife, Wilmetta, at the United Methodist Church in Indianola. A celebration of Hermans life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 13th, 2008, at the Indianola United Methodist Church. Pastor Jarrett Wells will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8pm, Thursday, June 12th, 2008, at the Church and also, one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Memorial donations may be given in Hermans name to the Indianola United Methodist Church. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, in charge of arrangements.
