Herman Joe Reddick

Herman J. Reddick 53, of Champaign went to be with the Lord at 10:57 p.m. on Saturday November 10, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Herman was born Aug. 30, 1959 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was the son of Sheffield and Carrie Williams Reddick. They preceded him in death. He married Zina Allen on Aug. 14, 2008 in Champaign, Il. She survives. Also surviving a daughter Shayla Reddick of Champaign, a stepdaughter Audrey Busby and a stepson Clifford Busby both of Champaign, Il. , 2 brothers Stanley Reddick and Greland Charles Reddick both of Moreno Valley, California. A step sister Donna Hall of Mississippi. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother James Reddick and a sister Dorothy Jean Reddick. Herman had previously worked at the Illini Car wash and later worked for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County. Herman was a very simple man who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. A time for sharing stories in celebration of Herman's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 17,2012) at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center Champaign-Urbana Chapel, 710 N. Neil St. in Champaign. Burial will follow the time of sharing at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Urbana. A visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
