His mother played the piano for silent movies. I dont play any of that rock and roll stuff. I play real regular music-the kind they played over 50 years ago. His favorite songs included Sentimental Journey and beer-barrel polkas. He read National Geographic, Readers Digest, the Enquirer and local newspapers. He was an old-movie buff. After his retirement, he was on your doorstep every morning for coffee. He gave his opinions, drank his coffee, and moved on the next family household. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Prouty, brother-in-law Donald Prouty, and five infant brothers and sisters.
